SPEED is coming at you hard and fast beginning Saturday, May 19 with two programs that are sure to get your motor running. The special presentation of the NASCAR Spring Cup All-Star Race airs live Saturday, May 19^th, at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT with a special preview of SPEED’s all new series Hard Parts: South Bronx immediately following.

Hard Parts: South Bronx, which, starting May 24^th, will air every Thursday at 10 pm ET / 7 pm PT, is like no other show we’ve seen before as it takes us inside the frenzied and intense culture of the auto parts industry. The industry is ultra-competitive, product can be hard to locate and customers are often less than forgiving, but for Joe Ferrer and his burgeoning family owned business, BS&F Auto Parts, an extra ingredient was needed – life in the Bronx.

Based on an award-winning New York Television Festival pilot, the series will follow Joe and the rest of his crew inside the hectic business that never seems to have an end. We’ll come to know Joe as the classic American character – a tough-as-nails South Bronx task master with a heart of gold – take a look at how his business is shaped and take a look into the real South Bronx lifestyle.

The show focuses on two LA homicide detectives, Travis Marks and Wes Mitchell, who are hitting the 7-year-itch in their relationship. While they are the best detectives in the county, their now-hostile relationship has the duo butting heads and letting personal drama get in the way of the job. So, what else would their chief do to rectify the problem and keep from having to fire his two best men but send them to marriage counseling! And, you can bet Travis and Wes are not super thrilled about it… but we certainly are because it makes for some hilarious moments.

He takes care of his joint-custody lawn when he’s stressed out, he’s a bit OCD and he has a story that we’re all going to want to know more about to discover what makes Wes tick.
