Coldplay is releasing a new tour film entitled Live 2012 this month, and to celebrate the release, they are giving away free prize packs that include a Live 2012 DVD, Mylo Xyloto album, t-shirt, and poster.
EPIX will premiere the tour film as an EPIX Original Event in the US on Nov 17th, followed by the release of the tour film for purchase on Nov 20th.
Live 2012 documents Coldplay’s acclaimed Mylo Xyloto world tour, which has been seen by more than three million people since it began in June 2011. It includes footage from Coldplay’s shows at Paris’s Stade de France, Montreal’s Bell Centre and last year’s triumphant Pyramid Stage headline performance at Glastonbury Festival.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said: “The Mylo Xyloto tour has been the most fun we’ve ever had as a band. It’s felt very uplifting right from the start; partly because we are proud of the music, the LED wristbands, the pyrotechnics, the lasers and all of that stuff, but mainly because of the amazing audiences that we’ve been playing for. Over the years, our crowd has become more and more a part of the concert itself. They’re loud, diverse, full of soul, and make the songs sound much better than we can on our own. We wanted to try to bottle the incredible feeling that they give us, and hence our concert film.”
“Coldplay put so much into the tour, it’s a spectacular feat and fun to behold. We’re pleased to give all their fans front row access by premiering the concert on EPIX,” said Mark Greenberg, EPIX CEO.
The film was directed by Paul Dugdale, previously responsible for Adele’s Live at the Royal Albert Hall and The Prodigy’s Worlds On Fire concert films. Jay Faires of JFE was the executive producer. Live 2012 will be released by Capitol Records on CD/DVD, Blu-ray/CD and digitally. It is available to pre-order now.
(PCM) The Mortified Sessions is in the midst of its phenomenal second season where every week we tune into Sundance Channel and get to take a hilarious trip into the awkward childhood experiences of celebrities Marc Maron, Kristin Bauer, Busy Philipps, Gillian Jacobs, Matt Walsh, Mark Duplass and many more. From fumbling first romances to attention-getting antics, every mortifying memory is a testament to the trials and tribulations of growing up… and the inner geek within us all!
On tonight’s all-new episode at 10 PM on Sundance Channel, actor Adam Goldberg’s reveals the most mortifying memories of his childhood. Yes, he’s known for portraying anxious, neurotic characters in films like Saving Private Ryan and Dazed and Confused, but how much of that is acting and how much is just an expression of his true self?
Pulling out old photos of himself in costume, in colossal dental headgear and in the bath near naked with his mom, Goldberg certainly isn’t holding back as he reflects on how his parents’ divorce may have transformed him from a happy child into one stricken by panic attacks. Between sharing his diary, the story of his guilt-ridden first kiss and his continuing obsession for documenting his life, Goldberg lifts the lid on all his awkward foibles!
To celebrate mortification, our inner geeks and, of course, Adam Goldberg and The Mortified Sessions, PCM has partnered with Sundance Channel for a Twitter Watch & Win contest with an amazing prize pack that we’re waiting to give away to one of our Twitter followers. A bit about the show and the new season:
Superstar Ice T isn’t the only one in his family working hard and turning dreams into reality. From the debut showing of the Licious line during Fashion Week, to the new Club Spartacus business venture and the lead role in Peepshow in Las Vegas, Coco’s star is rapidly on the rise. The loving, successful couple is back for a third season of their beloved show, Ice Loves Coco, which premieres at 10:30pm ET/PT on Sunday, October 28 only on E! On Sunday, November 4, the series will move to its regular 10:00pm ET/PT timeslot.
This season the rapper/actor/filmmaker/motivational speaker and his model/entrepreneur wife continue to love and support each other while finding new passion in their professional and personal lives. Their undeniable connection to one another shows through, whether they’re flexing their creative muscles, or completing the construction of their dream manse and contemplating filling it with children. Don’t miss the joy and laughs that come along with being one of pop culture’s most singular, yet traditional married couples.
In the premiere episode, construction continues on the loving couple’s luxe new home, and Coco can’t understand why Ice would want to delay the process by requesting a car elevator system in the garage. When Ice gently reminds his dear wife her shoe collection is just as important to her as his cars are to him, Coco contemplates relenting.
Over the course of the season, necessity becomes the mother of invention when Coco decides it’s about time to stop walking her beloved bulldog Spartacus in the cold while she’s with Ice on the New York set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Coco comes up with the idea of opening Club Spartacus, an opulent indoor dog park where dogs and their owners can be pampered in a much more comfortable setting. However, finding the perfect spot for her new business isn’t as easy as she’d hoped. With the success of her Licious clothing line growing steadily, Coco is excited to produce a fashion show featuring her apparel during Fashion Week in New York. Coco knows she’ll be competing with heavy hitters in the fashion world, and worries her designs won’t be taken seriously.
Also during the season, Ice goes back to one of his other loves – music – when he works on new material in the recording studio. An ecstatic Coco gives the weather a whirl when a local news station asks her to present the forecast, and Ice continues to stretch his creative muscles by giving stand-up comedy a shot for the first time.
Ice Loves Coco is created and produced by Comcast Entertainment Studios. Jay James, Carmen Mitcho, Brad Spotto, Ice T, Coco and Jorge Hinojosa are Executive Producers, with Shawn Miles and Greg Nash as Co-Executive Producers.
The third season of Ice Loves Coco premieres at 10:30pm ET/PT on October 28 only on E!, and moves to its regular timeslot on Sunday, November 4 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
